| Straylight Online News Straylight is the University of Wisconsin-Parkside's literary journal. We currently publish twice a year, in late spring and fall. The journal began publication in spring of 2007, and has been increasing in size and production quality with each issue. Straylight Online will serve as the web counterpart to the print journal, and in addition to providing a a glance at the most current stories, poems, and art that we have accepted, it will offer additional content and features that the print version does not. Our Straywriters forums will serve as a venue for not only the writers appearing in the journal to discuss their work with the editors and reader, but it will foster a diverse community of online writers. We hope to have interviews with novelists and poets on the craft of writing as well is editors and literary agents from a variety of genres. The Straylight Blog will be updated periodically with announcements and entries on the eidting and writng process. Please feel free to check the blog oftern and let us know what you think. |
| Fall Submissions Open Straylight is now accepting submissions of Fiction, Poetry and Art for the spring 2009 issue. We prefer electronic submissions, but we do accept mailed work. Please refer to the proper guidelines under the "Submissions" heading on the site menu. We suggest that writers buy a copy of the journal to get a feel for what we publish. |
